I think I’d frame it from the offset. Start the meeting maybe even sharing that I’m trying a new approach, which I believe will be better for all of us. Then I’ll explain what I’d like to hear ie the outcomes from each team member’s relating to what they were working on. I’ll also emphasise that I don’t need to hear all the details and how they got there etc. I’m guessing it will take a little time for my team to adjust so I’ll say that I might remind them when they’re speaking about the new approach and not to take it to heart if I do that.
