I need to ask my people more for the options to get them thinking, and then coaching them to what could be better answers. When sharing ideas with the team, I need to ask more what if questions…both on what good will this drive, and what could go wrong. How I respond, and the quality of my follow-up questions show my interest in knowing more of what my people are thinking. This will help them to open up more.
