I would start with what I have admired about them…either their mindset or specific behaviors…and that I would like to learn from their experiences. I would schedule times that are most convenient for them, and would look to bring along something valuable for them too. I would ask their opinion on the best way to do this, as everyone has a different approach and style to their mentoring…and I want to fit into their approach.
