I was listening to an interview the other day, and the leader said every time you avoid difficult conversations; you are losing influence and power. That made me realize that I don’t want to keep losing influence and power, as that really means I am slowing my own career possibilities. So, now when I have difficult conversations that need to be done, I am more proactive as I know what I will be losing…including the respect from others…if I don’t do it.
