First reaction is the boss is now wanting to operate with a small leadership team. However, if this is the case, your boss should have talked this through with you as you have been with the company from the beginning. Rather than jump to conclusions on your own, it’s best to talk with the boss for the reasons for the change, and then you can see what your best approach forward should be. It could be a lack of confidence in you from the boss, or maybe you are not pro-active on the changes your boss wants to make. First, understand what the boss is thinking and wants to make your response/actions as effective as possible.
