Creating the right feedback culture starts with the leader. How open the leader is to receiving feedback is key on how open the people will be. The best approach is for the leader to demonstrate the right way to give feedback by focusing on the people’s strengths first, and then the weaknesses that are slowing their use of their strengths. In this way the feedback is a more positive discussion. Get the role models in the team delivering feedback in more positive ways and it will then be copied throughout the organization.
