I was talking with a friend of mine about this, and he suggested that I need to start anticipating the key decisions that the organization will have to make. By thinking ahead of the key decisions coming each week, I can then ask some additional questions of my team and be ready to make the decision when the time comes. It’s part thinking ahead and getting involved on the right topics and at the right level.
