Dealing with a family member is always more difficult, as you might want to say what is really on your mind and offend them.  Alignment is about goals and values, versus just a different way of working and thinking.  When we can align on what we need to achieve together and the fundamental behaviors we should expect from each other, we can then accept more our differences and begin to even value each other’s differences/strengths.  Most people leave businesses because other people’s behaviors are against their values, so this is one area to pay close attention to.
